The $1,500 cost is a total estimate which includes airfare from LAX, Dorm room stays, meals, ground transportation, travel insurance, and visa.

Participants are expected to pay all expenses directly out of pocket. Long Beach-Qingdao Association has allocated a scholarship available to Long Beach students to help to offset the cost.

Student must have a valid passport by the time of travel.

Gather at LAX for flight to Shanghai (cross Int’l date line)

Day Two (1/7)

Arrive in Shanghai with transfer to Qingdao Check in

City Tour (Olympic Sailing Base, light show)

Day Three (1/8)

Morning: visit Haier Group, CRRC Sifang

Afternoon: visit Hisense Group, May 4th Square

Evening: protocol meeting and welcome banquet by the municipality

Day Four (1/9)

Visit the automated container terminal of Port of Qingdao, Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis

Day Five (1/10)

Morning: visit Badaguan Area, Xiaoyushan Hill; Peking Opera experience

Afternoon: traditional Chinese cuisine and culture experience activities;

meet with QUT (TBC)

Day Six (1/11)

Morning: visit Tsingtao Beer Museum; tour the old downtown area of Qingdao

Afternoon: check out and depart for Shanghai
